Tangible Intuition: Motorcycle Systems Data User Relay

Tangible Intuition is a systems and information design project that seeks to reimagine the neural connection between a rider and motorcycle. To establish a communication bridge between onboard sensors and the rider with the goal of addressing steep learning curves and contribute to rider safety.

Motorcycles in North America are seen as toys and not as a viable transportation tool with users looking to ebikes instead. A large factor preventing motorcycle usage is safety and the unsafe reputation that has been built alongside.

Motorcycles now-a-days have enough sensors to practically ride themselves. And so, providing a communication channel to allow the bike to inform its rider will not only improve the rider’s situational understanding and awareness but greatly reduce rider error as well.

About the Designer

Che Huang, OCAD University

I’m a third culture kid born in Taiwan, raised in Calgary, and considers Toronto home for now. I’m a multidisciplinary designer who approaches challenges enthusiastically and solves problems creatively. I consider empathy my most fluent language and my most fundamental value.

I’m passionate about designing the future through user research, emerging technology, and aesthetics of course.

When I have time for myself, I love to explore the city, golf, and make food that reminds me of home.
